The phase one deal requires China to buy $200 billion in American goods, including aircraft. While exact details of the deal were not made public, Boeing, as the only American passenger jet maker, is the likely beneficiary.

quote:

In October, now-ousted CEO Dennis Muilenburg blamed China for some of Boeing’s troubles. No Chinese airline had ordered a Boeing jet since November 2017.

“The lack of orders from China in the past couple of years has put pressure on the production rate,” Muilenburg said on October’s earnings call. That lack of orders led Boeing to plan cuts to its production rate for the 787 Dreamliner to 12 per month, starting later this year. Boeing separately is stopping production of its 737 Max jets as it waits for regulatory approval to return those jets to the air.

Good chance for Boeing to offload some of those parked 737 Max’s and kill some commies in the process.

Boeing disaster caused by Executive deuchbags pushing cost cutting and "diversity".
Cost lives.
Costing competent, hard working Americans jobs.
Yet, these executive assholes won't face any consequences.
Garbage.

I am not sure why anyone would buy from Boeing right now. Airbus is gonna fill those orders.

Boeing - lets costs and bottom lines come before the quality of the product, tries to skirt federal regulations egregiously.

hence why this is important. there's companies that have nothing to do with boeings incompetence that are being raped by the whole 737 max nonsense. Id rather make sure thousands of people aren't losing jobs than focus on punishing someone by costing people who didnt do anything work.

No, conservatives aren't responsible for over 100 million deaths the past century like communists are. So no, you aren't doing it right. The only good commie is a dead one.

Is there even a Fed department that regulates anything now? Most have been gutted and the leaders have quit and replacements haven't been hired.

I'm not certain, but I don't think that's how "free market" works, which so many crow about.

How did being a more diverse company cause the problem?

The 747 was designed decades ago, but Boeing pretty much decided to make a smaller and smaller version of the original. On top of that, they didn't have some of the features the other planes had.. It was more manual from what I understand.

It got to the point where the small planes were in the air for longer and because they were being pushed to the max more, the chances of something happened increased. It was 100% all about cost cutting.

That's the downside of a corporation. Sometimes they have to get creative in order to be able to show an increase in profits year after year.

It didn't. Only people on the OT that are looking for a boogeyman say that.

I don't think the 737 Max will fly again on a revenue route.
