They are working to add an extra game week which would push the SB to the Sunday before Presidents Day.

FWIW, not all Fed areas will observe it as a day off - the Fed Reserve will be open on both days, which means Banks as well will be open. while I am sure that some people will get them off work, it looks like the observance of them as a holiday is superficial.

“Too many non-working holidays in America. It is costing our Country $BILLIONS OF DOLLARS to keep all of these businesses closed. The workers don’t want it either! Soon we’ll end up having a holiday for every once working day of the year. It must change if we are going to, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

Trump is also giving away money?

"Warrior Dividend," a $1,776 one-time, tax-free payment announced by President Trump in December 2025 for nearly 1.5 million U.S. service members to celebrate the military's upcoming 250th anniversary and thank troops. Funded by tariff revenue and funds from a prior tax bill, these checks, with amounts honoring 1776, were described as being "on the way" for Christmas.

Active duty below the rank of 0-7 got the $.

Guts the federal workforce, saying they are the most inefficient sons of bitches alive, then gives them more time off.

Make it make sense.

Will tell you from personal experience that most people take vacation time around this time so the work force is pretty low anyway. If there is anything vital someone will be there.
