Mine actually got horrible gas mileage for what it was. 4x4 with a 100hp 4 cylinder. The year before fuel injection. I got barely over 15 mpg. It was dreadfully under powered.
Mine was a 2wd automatic.
Those 4x4 Toyotas probably had something like a 4:30 axle ratio, they were awesome trucks off-road. They still bring good money too.

Hope they are better than the old “K” cars.
I even had one of these for a short while.
You damn well better wear your seatbelt in those, because if you went around a sharp curve to the left you would slide over into the passenger seat
Those were built in a partnership between Chrysler and Renault, which was a French car company.

That little Suzuki truck would be so fun to drive.
And eventhough that truck is tiny, they will still figure out how to sell it for over $40,000

Honda Acty’s are what nearly all municipal fleets should be made up of. Watching city employees drive in f-150 and larger vehicles is so stupid and a waste.
The government should just gift an acty to everyone that goes to a trade school and opens a business as a plumber, electrician or HVAC repairman.

Ford is almost there.

Isuzu D-Max was a cool one I saw. I also saw plenty of Hilux pickups.

What exactly is illegal about these vehicles?

So Trump wants to import more cars from a foreign country and take away more jobs for Americans? Checks out.
If you’d bothered to read instead of flaunting your TDS you would’ve noticed that part of the deal is the vehicles would have to be manufactured here.
But it’s easier to get your panties in a wad, right?

I had a coworker who was 7’ tall and played offensive guard at a Div II school in college. He had to go to Miami in the 80’s for an extended business trip and the company paid for a basic rental car. It was one of the “K” cars.
He looked like a wrestler the size of the Undertaker in a suit and tie driving this little thing. They gave him hell about that in the office down there. It must have been something to see in traffic.

Smart Cars are legal and are smaller than those.
