Get out in the neighborhoods, you cant go 5mph in some places. And its everywhere, just as bad Uptown as the Lower 9.

But I would still rather get dick cancer than live in BR.

Worst design. Worst upkeep. Worst drivers.

I've lived in 10 different states. I have seen more crashes on the interstate in Louisiana than anywhere else.

I've also had to replace my windshield every two years in Louisiana while I never had to replace a windshield in the other states.

Pennsylvania has equal roads but their inspection stickers might cost more

I know I've never experienced worse roads in a "nice" area than uptown Nola.

You must not spend too much time in the snow belt.

Louisiana's roads round Baton Rouge have been functionally obsolete for a couple of decades, but at least they are mostly in decent shape.

Alabama roads are shite.

I used to travel back roads between GA and AL a lot and even when there's no sign marking the border you can always tell when you cross state lines because the condition of the roads changes so drastically

A good friend of mine from Rome, NY - came down for a visit back in July - we traveled to NOLA via Jefferson HWY on to I-10 - we got on Jeff hwy at Hoo Shoo Too Road - after about 5 miles (almost to hwy 42) he asked me with a straight face - why does Louisiana have so many speed bumps on a major hwy.

Well they certainly aren't the greatest. And just yesterday I was in East Feliciana and the litter along both sides was absolutely horrible.
