True imo

I'll say true, but it's all 99% of Louisiana drivers deserve.

When you travel through Mississippi and Alabama and notice how much better the roads are it hits home just how shitty they truly are.

I learned a new word today. Thanks!
The answer is false. You should see what the northeast winters do to roads. Louisiana roads are awesome.

Has embarrassingly bad infrastructure
Frodo and Sam traveled on better paved roads on their way to Mordor than the shite I drive on in BR and on the interstate in St. Tammany parish

No sir. I will take a BR road over one in Baltimore or DC any day.

You could blindfold me on my drive back to Biloxi from Baton Rouge, and I can tell you exactly when I cross the border into MS

having grown up in Louisiana, i always assumed this to be the case. After living 4 years in Pennsylvania, I have to give them the crown.
It's a combination of old highways of a different era of driving (like the turnpike w/ extremely short acceleration / deceleration lanes and stop signs at the ends), the impact of winter, complicated terrain, and complex funding issues (municipal vs. county vs. state vs. turnpike authority vs. federal funding).

Some roads Ive driven on in Massachusetts are pretty freaking bad. Post Katrina Nola roads are pretty bad though. Near the top.

This. People who say otherwise have never traveled north of Virgina.

Worst stretch of interstate is I-10 both ways from the basin bridge to mile marker 100. It's like driving on stairs.

Alabama roads are pretty cruddy.

I will give in to the fact that sections of the Northeast corridor- Baltimore, Dc, Jersey Turnpike, and even into Connecticut have bad patches...but nothing like the top to bottom shitty infrastructure we have in Louisiana.

New York city is the worse as far as highway... you even have to pay for the privilege to drive on their shitty roads.
Massachusetts has some bad stretches that are worse than La.
