So the guy isn’t a “trucker” or a “truck driver”, he was just a dude driving a pick up truck with a trailer?

He worked as a truck driver for a transportation company. He was basically a hot shot driver.

ETA - not sure how he had a job with a driving record like that

Not much has been reported on how the accident took place, but my guess is he crossed the center line on a 2 lane blacktop and took out the bikers.

From another article LINK:

quote:

“There was a pickup truck with a flatbed trailer heading west and he crossed the yellow line and tried to swerve back and his trailer jackknifed and wiped out [the] people on the motorcycles,” said Jerry Hamanne, who owns The Inn at Bowman nearby.

Also, some of the articles about his arrest said the police found a substance they suspect to be heroin in his apartment, which they're testing right now.

I'm guessing he crossed the line, jerked the wheel, and jackknifed his fifth-wheeler which swung across the road and took down the bikers kinda like a scythe through wheat...

Not enough details are being let out about this to make any sort of judgement. The truck was on fire so he obviously did leave the scene in that. I saw nothing saying he fled on foot, yet a "fugitive task force" is used to pick him up at his home in another state?

And frankly, why the hell do they need to search the guy's home?

So he’s 23 now and was arrested 6 years ago so he was 17 at time of a different drunk driving arrest.

Winner.

Kind of look-a-likes, but no way the actor dude would have made this kind of error.

He would have heard them coming from miles.....

I see today where the head of the Mass. Registry of Motor Vehicles has resigned over this. Their office had been notified about this guys DUI arrest in New Hampshire and because of that, he should have had his commercial license suspended. Seems he was in a Walmart parking lot acting erratically and was found to be under the influence at the time.

The article also went on to say just last month he had an accident in Texas but was not charged. Seems this guy was nothing but an accident waiting to happen every time he got behind the wheel.
