It's the same dumb mentality behind glorifying people like Mike Brown, Trayvons, and Alton Sterling.
You're spot on about the disservice, bad leadership in EBR will lead to white flight which will lead to a diminished tax base and even shittier public services that a lot of Gravy's supporters rely on. There is no win to be had for black folk by supporting incompetent criminals.

The fact that this guy "rose to the top" of the list for Broome tells you all you need to know about her incompetence.
