How the hell is not wanting kids weird or disturbing?

He is just pissed because he didn't spend his prime years traveling, experiencing the world and having fun. He was at the ball park for little Johnny's games every weekend.

I have numerous friends who got a dog as a “practice” to see if they could handle a baby.

Which is fricking ridiculous

My sister did this, 2 years with the dog, then had a baby. Then baby was 3 months old, dog ate a towel and they had to put it down.

Good thing is my niece is now 5, so they're doing better with the kid than the dog.

To clarify here:

Did a Dog & Horse mate to make your "dog and a horse child"?

OR

Do you have a dog and also you have "a horse child"?

If the latter, my opinion of you has abruptly changed, equine mother.

I'll call you "Gasp!y" from now on.

ive said it before and I'll say it again: when they research the fall of western civilization years from now, they will find this point in time where smart people decided to not procreate while dumb people fricked like rabbits and say "why in the hell did they do this?"

The writers of Idiocracy were saying it long before you were.

My wife told me last night that one of her fellow employees bought a dog car seat for their new pup a few days ago.

I didn't even know they made such things, or even care to know. People are losing their minds.

children (and the ideal prerequisite for children, marriage), are still out of the question because they’re too expensive, too time-consuming, and might cramp their style.

I can understand a child being too expensive, in which case if you can’t afford to support a child, you don’t need to be having one.

But what the frick, too time consuming? They’re babies for Christ’s sake, and they’re YOUR children, wtf did you expect? They’re not something you can just put on a shelf and take out when you feel like.

And for the cramping of your style, you’re near 30, you’re probably not going to be as cool or as fun as you were when you were 20, get over it, that’s called life.

People overstate this shite

Our age bracket is immature and stupid. Having two people take care of a living thing together before having a kid isn't the worst idea. Sure, it creeps me out when people pretend dogs are kids, but I also bought a "birthday cake" for my dog this weekend so I can't say too much about them.

Anyway, I'm sure plenty of weirdos are substituting pets with kids. They're not "training for kids," but they might make a person more empathetic and might add a touch of responsibility to the lives of people who don't have to account to anyone else yet. Just like owning a house might, or gaining responsibility at work might.

This thread is a great example of how short sighted posters on the OT are

"Live and let live bruh!"

"Why did we just elect an avowed communist president ?" - 20 years from now

I mean, I think some people are ridiculous with their dogs too but you DO realize if you crash your car with your dog in tow, it will be ejected from the vehicle and die if not restrained somehow.. right?

Heaven forbid you want to protect your dog from dying in a car accident.

ETA: I bet he thinks life jackets for dogs are stupid as well
