Yes but the mid to upper level rain/convection will decouple and continue heading E/NE

What's causing the turn toward Leesville/Alexandria? Seems to have shifted a fair number of times.

Mine took one step outside and said nope. Trying to get him to pee under the carport now but he's too polite.

Jen strikes me as the type who gets cut from the Jersey Shore auditions for being too smart and not trashy enough.

Wait. You're saying the rain is heading more west?

Meant shear is out of SW pushing convection E/NE

Got it. Thanks. Had me hoping the rain would end a bit sooner for a while there.

Where are we on the chances of nocturnal tropical rain bombs for tonight?

South Louisiana should be able to handle the rain with some localized flash flooding, but let's hope there's not a lot of wind. The grid is not too sturdy right now.

Out here in Prairieville and some areas near where I live can’t take much more rain. Ditches are filling up fast. It could get ugly.

Around Washington Ave/Montrose/Heights, I never lost power, one friend did for an hour or so in the middle of the night, two others (in the heights) still without power.
same. if that area lost power, we slept through it and had it back by the time we woke up this morning

Guess the Mexican tarp job my moms house got through her insurance wasn’t so great. Leaking like crazy this morning down in Houma. Gonna be a rough couple days checking buckets in the attic

If this is any gauge, the main draining ditch in the back yard is topped out and the feeders from the field are spilling out flooding the hay field. I only see that maybe once or twice a year and typically it takes a damn good down pour to flood the fields. We got good draining so no chance of flooding the houses, but that’s a lot of water out in the field with a lot more to come it seems. We out here in Pointe Coupee
