Sounding from Long Island this morning suggests tornado warning is going to keep trending. 150 J/kg 0-3 km CAPE. This is high low level instability and correlates to increased tornados and stronger ones.

As the shear and SRH increases, it presents potential for numerous and somewhat strong tornados all the way up I95 but especially the NYC metro, southern Jersey, and even up toward Boston.

Charles Peek put his drone up this morning... and TWC showed the footage

4 houses in a row total losses... with at least 1 already reduced completely to nothing

and another house across the street completely destroyed as well

This doesn't look good...

4.5

Severe flooding will cause extensive inundation and flooding of numerous roads and buildings resulting in a significant threat to property and life.

Water will be 2 to 3 feet or more above ground level in some areas.

Severe flooding will extend inland from the waterfront and shoreline flooding homes, businesses and isolating some neighborhoods.

Numerous roads will be impassable under several feet of water and cars submerged. Some areas will need to be evacuated.

Absurd wind profile from Philly radar. Extremely twisty atmosphere. Dangerous day for the NE. Hope the tornadoes stay over water or at least miss population centers.

I don't know how an accurate count can be kept, but the site that tries to count the current power outages says the number is at 3 million customers.

Power back on an hour ago. Thank God. Heard a noise about 11:30 last night in the dark with window open. I live in the woods and a tree snapped not from the roots and it wasn't that windy, it landed against other trees and not on the vehicle. We were lucky we were in the eye for it seems like a while we only got a few squalls of rain bands.

This is in Oak Island NC with a barely Cat1 Hurricane

This is Ocean Isle Beach NC

Ocean Isle Bch. burnt homes still don't know what caused this or if they were empty
