The problem with the power going out is that my husband cannot watch ESPN channels 1 through 4,276. And he makes me MISERABLE! Last time cable went out but power was on I chased down a Cox truck and gave the guy $50 and begged him for help. It worked and we are still married. Me and my husband - not the Cox cable guy. But, he was kind of hot. Just sayin.

Bhaha.. she's awesome, maybe you were on to something.

Seems like some people just to have to pop in every two or three pages to laugh at people discussing a tropical system.
They must think they will get a trophy or something for being the cool guy.
Nobody is panicking in this thread

Don't feed the trolls.

You want to talk about the weather, do it and ignore the trolls.

Basically no real changes on the 18z GFS, as the system tracks NW deep tropical moisture streams north into the GC. While at the same time drier continental air is wrapped around the western side of the system.

What are models showing for rain wrapping around the west side (Houston metro)? Or will moisture stay on the east side only? I imagine there will be a sharp west-east gradient either way...

I will tell you, our Corporate WX provider, this morning, showed us their forecast, and had it going in just below HOU. They dont use the NHC Ensemble, they use the European Ensemble plus their in house modeling. So who knows?
