Was pretty windy when I left Nola and on the causeway. In Mandeville now, the occasional 15 mph gust but calm for the most part. Pretty steady rain right now.

I know it. All of NOAA's projections show that, though. I'll take the over, for sure.

first, no one cares about your fishing trip.
second, the fishing will be fine once all this crap clears up and the wind stops blowing.
Thanks for the info in the second half of your post.

Look at the radar right now and the circulation. I said earlier southeast la is going to end up getting 15-20 inches. Looks like the Mississippi, Alabama and Florida coast are going to get hammered for the next 23-48 hours.

People seem have a fundamental misunderstanding of these tropical systems.
They see the inland track and seem to think that the areas in the track of the center are the areas under threat.

It makes sense. If the area of circulation moves west. All that rain hammering miss/al/fla will be at our front door.

You will in a few days one way or the other.

This question has been answered 30 times. You guys will probably get 2-4 inches.
Eta: you people are crazy. Every rain storm that comes isn't going to float your house away.

I'm not giving you shite. I'm not great with the tropical stuff. I'm more of a tornado guy.
You have been bold.
I hope you are wrong.

To all of ya'll on the Upper Texas Coast, remember 2007 and Humberto. It was lopsided, top blown off by shear, Humberto looked the same way until it hit the shelf, and all that shallow, warm water, then all hell broke loose. Just stay aware.
