the author is basically calling it sexual assault, which just dismisses the real impact of real victims of sexual assault

Indeed. They almost try to make it hip to be a victim of sexual assault. It's disgusting, frankly.

By the way, what if Tristan and the reporter are friends or have a joking relationship. I bet the author knows nothing about their interpersonal dynamic, yet isn't afraid to make ridiculous accusations.

If it was a female athlete( I use that term loosely) who kissed a male reporter it wouldn't even be a story.

If he were white it wouldn't be a story.

Is it the biggest deal in the world? No.

But was Tristan wholly out of bounds? No doubt about that. There is already the whole female reporter/male athlete dynamic that goes on in sports journalism.

This 100%. He's a professional athlete and should know better. In a sense, these two are colleagues.

Now, I wouldn't say he needs to be punished because this article will be sufficient, but he shouldn't have done it and used poor judgment.

Did the "Victim" in question even have an issue with this? So, If the answer is no, why does anyone else care? Find it annoying that people seemed to be more up in arms then the actual "Victim."

I've had acquaintance women who greet me with a hug and kiss on the cheek. I kiss my grandma, mother, old friends' mothers and grandmothers on the cheek. To some people it is a standard greeting. Who knew it was sexual assault.

At worst it might have been slightly inappropriate and unprofessional because they don't know each other like that, if you want to be uptight about it. I probably wouldn't do it in a professional environment, but it's a far cry from "sexual assault."

Someone finally sees the light.

It's unacceptable behavior in the work place.

But what always speaks volumes to me is the dismissive-ness of this bunch. Technically, if it offends someone else, it's not legitimate. Or they find every reason to discredit someone else's gripes or grivances. They'll usually come up with a lame, and lazy excuse for why we shouldn't care about it.

Also, It seems as if this is shared trait amongst the "non-PC" crowd. But like I said before, Im glad as hell their non inclusive, backwards, and imperialistic, persepctives on life will be coming to a halt soon.

Better shape up or you'll get shipped out for non inclusives beliefs
