Technically, if it offends someone else, it's not legitimate

that's not always true

if it's stupid and offends somebody, then it's not legitimate (like the story in teh OP)

Im glad as hell their non inclusive, backwards, and imperialistic, persepctives on life will be coming to a halt soon.

The intolerant have a place in our country. Free thought is good and should be encouraged. However, intolerance, spewed in gender, race, sexual orientation, etc., should not be the way of life or the perspective for the ruling class, per se. It's deleterious and unamerican by definition. Governing with such skewed and warped world views will continue to move us further from our great ideals, which is inclusion for all.

we will serve our country better when we will be "intolerant" of old ideals and relics of the past that will not help us advance as a country.

But I can understand how that type of mentality or those types of perspectives may had aided some people. I just hope they know that that shite will not fly in future.

wut? how?

why not just let people live how they want? if people do things you don't agree with, don't associate with them. feel free to criticize them, too.

that's what i'm doing about the absolutely stupid and contrived victimhood found in the story in the OP. THAT is what America is about

we will serve our country better when we will be "intolerant" of old ideals and relics of the past that will not help us advance as a country.

advance...in what way? how does wasting resources on contrived grievances advance our society? seems to waste societal resources on irrationality

that's not advancing anything

so you believe we are moving in a way to celebrate stupidity? that's your desire?

Someone finally sees the light. It's unacceptable behavior in the work place. But what always speaks volumes to me is the dismissive-ness of this bunch. Technically, if it offends someone else, it's not legitimate. Or they find every reason to discredit someone else's gripes or grivances. They'll usually come up with a lame, and lazy excuse for why we shouldn't care about it.

It's all about perspective. Some people have resorted to hyperbole over something minor; it also requires one to make assumptions about their relationship. It is presumptuous to paint this reporter as some victim over a minor incident and without knowing more information about the two individuals.

"Advance as a country" is extremely subjective and means nothing.

i don't think the author of that article understands sports, or the fact that they've known each other for years
