Such a shame!!! Donna and I grew up one block apart from each other, one of her brothers lived a couple of houses from my mom and we have a LOT of mutual friends!!!

I went to high school with the daughter, she was a goat softball pitcher at Brusly High. She won a state championship, I'm glad she had some good times before going at such a young age. Donna (the mom) always seemed like an honorable woman and police officer. I know they will be missed by many, RIP!

My wife and I lived next door to Donna's parents when I was in school before we got married. The Weems are a great family. Sad to hear and was sad to hear about her dad passing a few years after we moved to Texas. The 21 yr old daughter that was killed also used to play outside at her grandparents house back then. She was 10-11 years old at the time. My wife told me about her car accident back when it happened and I remember thinking how terrible. That girl was a great softball player and person and in an instant she was fighting for her life and trying to get back to a normal life. And now this. Unreal. Prayers for the family.

I grew up and live about 5 minutes from the scene. I know the victims but have never heard of the shooter. Do you know of him?

I don't know know him personally but my wife knew of him. Think he worked at the local gas station by the levee...
