Beantown,

Honestly, this is where you should flip the script and craft some clever trolling of your own.

Offer to allow them to use the golf cart to transport the body to the graveyard. I mean, it was the old man's dream to one day roll around on a golf cart. What better way to honor his dream than to strap his lifeless body onto the golf cart for one final spin into the afterlife?

This is far and away the most elaborate method I have ever seen to sell something on TigerDroppings and not have the admins whack the thread.

Congrats on the effort sir!*

Call his "wife" back and tell her you're suing her for breach of contract and see what happens

Search for the obituary?

It will be in the paper next to an article about someone who got rapped when trying to sell stuff on Craigslist...

There are some freaks on CL so be careful. Some dude in our office building wanted my brother to sell his 63 Jag and my brother made the deal and even drove it 1.5 hrs away to deliver it to the guy.

Next day, my brother gets a call from the guy saying the police have been notified and that they are both going to jail for fraud

Come to find out, the car only had 22k original miles on it and the shop where the owner got it inspected had accidentally put 122,000 instead of 22,000 miles.

The scam always uses a family member or "shipping agent" to pick up the merchandise. Next he'll send you a real (bogus) check for you to deposit which will include money for his shipping agent. He'll then ask you to pay the shipping agent (via paypal or money order) using real good funds from your account. If you're fool enough to pay you get fricked when his original bogus check charges back to your account.

I'm selling 2 things on craigslist right now and I have a lot of bs to sort through to find legit interest. If you give me too many details or can't communicate in complete sentences, I'm ignoring you.
