Stabbing a person in the heart isn’t intent to kill lol? Are you serious?
This isn’t a manslaughter case. It’s the definition of a murder. He should get life. But he’ll be eligible for parole one day since he’s under 18 which is bs.

Are you stupid? You can not use deadly force on someone unarmed just because they pushed you. So it’s self defense to shoot someone if they pushed you? And if you shoot them once, is that not intent to kill, or do you have to shoot them multiple times?
It’s deeply troubling how stupid the general population out there is. And this is what juries are made up of. And prosecutors have to deal with this bs.

Yes, Joey has clearly established that he/she/it is very stupid.

Intent is not shown by just stabbing in itself? Not in self defense, just purely on the number of times I shove a sharp foreign object into another person’s body?
Solid logic buddy

In your world, a lot of 5-year-olds and 6-year-olds and are going to be on trial. They might as well build a new court with some Sesame Street theme shite in the hallways.

So if someone shoved me, I can stab them in the face ONCE in self defense?
Joey, you are so smart. I bet nobody else realized this.

That is a stunningly stupid statement.
No, it is evil. It is past time to quit giving these people grace and call them what they are.

The lack of awareness, or even common decency is incredible.
These people hate anyone not like them and want them dead. He is just rubbing the latest "statistic" in your face and daring you to reply so he can call for your death next. It is a very common tactic among the left.

It amazes me the lengths these MENSA members go to defend a murderer. It is almost as if he is one of their own.

Closing arguments. I'd say of deliberation goes any more than a few hours, it's a probable sign that some jurors don't wanna be called racist.

If you were trying to kill someone, you wouldn’t stab them just one time. Especially with a small knife. It’s not like this guy was carrying a dagger. How many people convicted of 1st degree murder have ever stabbed a person just once?
This is not what “intent to kill” means under the law.
He stabbed him with a deadly weapon in the chest with enough force to penetrate the sternum. That is a text book definition of intent to kill. There’s nothing in the law that counts stabbing strokes.

Please give your full definition of “self defense” and appropriate use of reciprocal force. I will wait.

to me this is clearly a case of excessive self defense. Nobody is getting a 1st degree murder charge conviction out of it. I think the only reason the SA even charged 1st degree was to accept a plea bargain lower. If someone pushes you, and in response you stab them in the stomach one time. One, you are defending yourself. Two, it’d be hard to prove intent of murder.
The new Reddit talking points are out.
“excessive self-defense” frick off.

Joey is counting number of stabs like the 3 pumps rule after a touchdown. 1 stab is fine, 2+ is a penalty!

What the hell is “excessive self-defense”?

No. But I admire your absolute belief in this.
Oh to be so willfully ignorant. Life must be so blissful.

I’m a very neutral person, often disagreeing with most people on here on various things. This might be the most insane, pretzel twisting case for defending someone I’ve ever seen. I’m honestly in disbelief you actually hit submit after thinking this out loud

You are one dumb son of a bitch.
One, that isn’t proportional and
Two, poor victim Karmelo was already armed with a deadly weapon prior to any physical contact and taunted Austin to “touch him and see what happens”, revealing his intent to kill.

Funny how that is, right?

I'm not a lawyer by any stretch, but wouldn't Anthony's best shot here be arguing intent to kill?
admit his intent was to hurt the guy, but not for the guy to die?
