They also may switch from Anthony having a fear for his life to sudden passion from adequate cause to get murder as a 2nd degree felony which can be sentenced from 2 to 22 years instead of 5 to 99 years. The defense just has to be prove it’s case by a preponderance of the evidence during the punishment phase of the trial to have conviction become a 2nd degree felony.

This was always the best play, but, admittedly, they don't have to do it until sentencing. I think you're 100% correct on where they will pivot, though.

I hope all of his idiots supporters are willing to put money on his books after they walked him straight into the arms of a jury.

i'm seeing a lot of pro-Karmelo posts getting force fed to me on Facebook and IG,

Like you said because of bots (and trolls and just people saying shite online without in person follow up) it’s hard to tell what the majority of the public thinks just from social media comments. This trial has gotten a lot of attention but not on the same level as something like Floyd or Martin back in the day

I wouldn't get overconfident just yet. There's still a couple minorities and potential white guilt ridden jurors to convince. And will possible riots play into their decisions.

you left out a key point; it was a folding knife and he had already unfolded it and was holding it in his hand in his pocket ready to stab with it.

Holding it in his hand in his backpack I believe.

I mean I did.

I don't think I've gone anywhere without a pocket knife since I was 8.

When rules got tighter after Columbine teachers literally told me just don't show it to anyone. We know you have them.

And wasn't a Leatherman multi tool, but I've also heard flick knife.

To a high school, airport, courtroom, you name it. My point wasn't that Karmelo didn't show up with bad intentions. It was that the presence of a weapon isn't what determines if someone is "looking for trouble." The same reason I defended Rittenhouse for having a rifle. Plenty of people here post about how they conceal carry everywhere they go. I don't think that means they're looking for trouble.

can someone give me a summary of this?

I would recommend reading this site starting with day 3:

I saw two attorneys point something out: in almost every case like this, the Defense hires a use of force expert.

They didn’t do, which usually indicates they literally couldn’t find one to pay that would help them.

I used that one earlier, but I have having to read from the bottom up if I'm trying to do it chronologically.

They can change their defense argument (the one they hung their hat on in court and rested with) at sentencing to get a lesser charge and sentence?

Isn't that usually the case when progressives inevitably commit violent act after violent act? The vast majority are just lies they leverage to do what they do best.

get that, but the attorneys have proven pretty clearly through text messages that Karmelo and a kid on the Memorial track team were friends.

Proven they were acquaintances not necessarily friends. They knew each through a girl which was the only time they would really hang out in person. That same person thought it was strange Anthony sat down and stayed and especially when he wouldn’t leave.

It doesn’t matter if Anthony was looking steal or not that day. We are talking about different things. I said not all the rumors are false, and then since the theft angle was brought up I mentioned that the possibility of theft is one of the reasons some schools are strict about their areas. The situation and having leaders in charge of area is not unusual and has valid reasons behind it. I may not have been clear on that segue away from the rumors comment toward being part of the valid reasons behind Austin and Memorials actions.

It also seems like almost every witness either said that they don’t personally go to other tents or that anyone asked to leave another team’s area should leave. Anthony had the outlier reaction that day even before the murder.

Oh shite, I don’t know… with intellect?

No, I wasn’t. I inferred that a jury, knowing what they know from select information given to them by attorneys about someone they have never met, probably wouldn’t believe that he was out hunting track athletes at a stadium full of people, because he’s “hood.”

You’re not very good at this.
