they didn't get anything after the game except for this weeks practice schedule.

They should have ran poles for being in the losers bracket

Made my boys run poles and we won the winners bracket. Didn't like the way a kid went for a fly ball in the last inning when we were up by 12. Made the whole team run piles before ring ceremony. There are bigger life lessons here.

My son gets the same thing, but he knows they mean nothing. He treasures the ones that they won in big tourneys, that only happens about 1 time per year...the others he could give two shits about. He left one at the park not too long ago and didn't care to go back.

times must have changed....the only time I've ever seen a losers bracket is for " World Series" tournaments or Cooperstown, which are up to a week long.

USSSA, OTC, Grand Slam didnt have losers brackets on just normal 2 day weekend tournaments.

you play your pool games on Saturday and bracket play is single elimination on Sunday.....you lose once you go home. There was no losers bracket

Friend of mine got a $580 bill the other day for his kids 9U team. It was a "summer assessment". He already paid something like $2700 for the season.

We asked them to go fishing with us the other day but they couldn't. Because their kid had a tournament that was lasting all weekend.

Here it depends on how many teams in each group. In Houston they usually do a gold and silver bracket if there are more than 10 or 12 teams. We had 14 teams this weekend and I believe 8 made the gold bracket and 6 silver based on run differential in 2 pool games Sat.

yeah thats a little different than a losers bracket on Sunday.

Teams are separated into classes...All Star, AA, AAA and Majors.

Teams can play up but you cant play down

We played up this past weekend and lost twice to the eventual tourney winner. 9 majors didn't make so we had to play up to 10aaa. Beaumont, here we come this weekend.

I think that's what he meant by "losers bracket". It was still single Elim on Sunday for everyone. They just divided the field to reduce number of games you have to play on Sunday. 3 games is enough for young kids when it's 90 plus degrees.

Gotcha...yeah, most teams dont have enough arms to play more than 5 games in a weekend....

It's not too bad actually. The same as it was when we were aa at 7 and aaa at 8. Or as it was when I coached my oldest until a few years ago. I have a few friends with kids on your squad.

4 games on a sunday is really rough on pitching and 5 is just brutal. Most teams don't have enough arm to make it through 3 games much less 4 or 5.
