You talking about your 9u majors team? Do yall practice where I practice?
Posted on 6/15/20 at 4:14 pm to Tiger Ryno

My son gets rings when his team is the winner of the losers bracket. Basically placing 7th in a 12 team tourney. It happens ALL THE DAMN TIME.
My 11 yr old daughter plays in FASA(girls fast pitch) tournaments all over Lousiana, and only 1st and 2nd place get rings. Gold and Silver.
Errybody else gets the road home and the kids get a fricking Polar pop and some Swedish Fish for the ride home.

Yeah, they have been over there the last few weeks because both teams practice together and most of the kids cant keep the ball in the park on the reg fields at that age. My kid isn't one of them but some have already started to hit puberty.

Yeah 9u majors level kids can easily fly 200 from what I've seen.

Yeah, we have a few on our team that put it out in practice and a few who have in games on BBUSA back quad fields. Again, my other kid aint one of them. haha

Imagine having 3 kids one in cheer competitions all over one on a travel ball team and one on another travel ball team... It is stupid. I'm sending my kids to England for soccer training for the entire summer. Much cheaper.

Damn man. Calgon take me away. I have a 10 yr old in competitive gymnastics and a son in select baseball. Would be awesome if it was just the 2 of them so we could just divide and concur but the three year old is always the monkey wrench
Posted on 6/15/20 at 4:33 pm to Tiger Ryno
and in 4 years you'll have all 3 of them needing rides to their events...good luck with that

sorry, but I several friends in the same boat....their little caboose is just getting into these sports and they've been doing this for the past 7-8 years and are now starting all over again.
My oldest is 16 and my youngest is 13....I cant imagine having to start over all over again with 7 year old travel ball.

Well. It's not mandatory.

I’m sure you could get USSSA to sanction it. Just pay someone a few hundred bucks

Man we played this weekend in usssa. Won pool games 16-0 and 15-0. Went on to win the tournament out scoring the comp 54-5 and I have never seen more pissed off people in my life!!! Hell one coach accused us of sandbagging! How the hell do you make a 9 year old sandbag?

Every dad I know that has kids in travel ball realize that it was the worst mistake of their lives. They are so happy when a tourney gets cancelled. $500-$600 a weekend of misery is what I was told
Did travel soccer for years and never regretted a dime. Best ever was a tourney where we could not get to the restaurant we were going on a Saturday night so one of the parents prepared gulf seafood poolside while we drank. It helped that the parent has multiple James Beard awards.
I guess travel baseball is coming because my 5 and 6 year old love the sport and the 6 year old is already hitting homers.
