The fenced yard isn’t what saved him. Some companies just flat out won’t accept a trampoline at all, while others will…just depends on what carriers he’s getting quotes from. Some of the companies that’ll take it require the safety netting. But among all of the companies I’ve worked with who will write the house if there’s a trampoline, all of them exclude liability coverage for any trampoline related injuries

Growing up, the dad of some neighborhood friends was an ER doc. There were two things he'd never let them have. Motorcycles and trampolines....

Yes she does like doing things on it.

The dumbass paid $50 for a pistol that someone tried to sell a pawn shop. When the pawnshop said they didn’t want the POS my buddy thought he got a sweet deal in the parking lot. I’m glad that accident wasn’t worse, but he kinda deserved a flesh wound to the calf just for being cheap

I have had the opposite experience with my company as well as competitors. Trust me when it came up I had to hear all about how their prior carrier allowed them in a fenced yard. Of course I am in Alabama. Sounds like LA has some shitty liability laws.

My parents bought us kids a rectangle trampoline back in the late 1970’s. Around 1980, my stepbrother had a house party with his teen age friends. One of the teenagers fell and busted his teeth on the railing. My dad and I were at LSU football game. Apparently the kids family fricked around and did not file a claim. I think the statute of limitations was one year.

Trampoline injuries are no joke. Not surprised they don’t want to cover them these days. I broke the frick out of my arm on one as a kid. Nastiest shite I’ve ever seen

If you say you removed it and it magically comes back, that can deny your coverage if someone gets hurt.

If thr tranpoline is worth $400/year, go with the other carrier.

This isn’t insurance companies first rodeo. You might think you are outsmarting them, but like the farmers guy says, they have seen it all.

Drones or Google Earth could probably be used by the insurance company to verify....

Keep it and when someone get hurt on ur trampoline and sues you, good luck paying for it your self

Or if a thunderstorm rolls through and the winds pick it up and slam it against your neighbors roof. Pay that yourself as well.

FYI, u can see them on google maps if they do a recent flyover. Those are date stamped.

This is easy. Give it to a neighbor and let the kids jump on it there.

What year is it?

My boys (6 and 8) got one for Christmas last year. By the time Christmas rolls around this year, they will have been on the trampoline probably 300 of the 365 days.

Trampolines these days look super nice these days and I’d sure rather them want to be out there jumping than playing on an iPad.

Plus creating a fake story and lying about how the neighbors kid got hurt on your property is pretty fricked up
