How trashy are you? Get rid of the trampoline.

So are diving boards and water slides
Have both and had no issue. Have since added a trampoline.

Ain’t many options in the current insurance market. If you switch to the new company for $400 more (assuming they’re ok with you having a trampoline), they’re still going to come out and inspect and may find some other ticky tack issue that they may have a problem with. I’d just get rid of the trampoline. You’re putting yourself at risk for getting sued anytime your kids have friends over, which is why insurers frown upon trampolines to begin with.

Downvote all y’all want, this is the truth.
Not sure why someone would downvote you on medical insurance seeking payment from home owners. Friend of mine was returning a ladder to my in-laws after we used it in our hunting club. When he lifted the ladder it unholstered his old 22 revolver, which fell to the ground and fired a round into his calf. Cops got called by the emergency room since a gun was involved. Health insurance got a copy of the police report and asked friend for more info on my in-laws. He had to tell his health insurance that the officer had it wrong, it was my in-laws ladder but the incident didn’t happen at their house.
Side note to this story. When the cops started asking questions I refused to answer anything, just sat there ignoring them. When the deputy asked me friend why I ignored them, he said “cause he’s smarter than me”. Never tell the police shite when they can twist an accident into a crime.

Negligent discharge is kind of a big deal …

Tell them it's a canopy for midgets.

And we wonder why kids are fat and soft
Fat and soft kids is not because of the lack of trampolines or diving boards. Get your kids out on the land hunting and fishing. Teach them to work, the land and waters.

I'm in the market for insurance and I've been getting quotes. They have all asked me about a trampoline and we have one. The fact that it has a safety net around it, it's in a fenced yard, and the kids are supervised when they're on it and none of them have ruled out my coverage.

Dude on Street View as of March 2022, you have a basketball goal half in your driveway and half in the street with a sack of Quikcrete weighing it down.
Why you gotta be so mean??

My trampoline story- kids asked for one and I said no. Middle child told me I was the only parent who ever used the word liability.

This. Not hard to understand. Get rid of it.

I like you as a poster but I'll be damned if I ever want you to know who the hell I am.

Lol
No I don’t. I have a basketball goal in my driveway that was for my son when he was a kid and we put a couple of sand bags that was leftover from keeping our pool house from flooding on the back of it bc he and his grown arse friends kept dunking and bringing it down
It’s not half on the street and half in the driveway,

Insurance company took over my policy after the previous one left La after Ida. Came out and took pics and got a notice that I had to remove trampoline or be dropped. They want me to provide a picture proving it's been removed. How likely are they to actually come back out and check if it's been moved or not? Good idea or not? I have another company I can go with, but will be paying about $400 more
There are a few considerations. Usually if a trampoline is fenced the insurance carrier is ok with it or if you live in a really rural area where the trampoline can’t be seen from the road nor any neighboring houses. If you play a game of cat and mouse with them, they might not seek you out later(some carriers do rechecks randomly) BUT if an incident were to happen you will probably be sans coverage and they darn sure won’t renew you.
Is the need for a trampoline this important? Is it in a fenced off area completely?

Here is your key…and why they won’t rule out your coverage…

Well as soon your kid’s friend (or even a cousin) breaks a bone playing on your trampoline, that parent is gonna get the questionnaire related to the claim. They say it happened at someone else’s property and their health insurance company will then file a claim with that property owner’s homeowners insurance policy. That’s when your company finds out you have a trampoline.
This is the real problem.
Your options are to either accept the risk above or find a new insurer that will write the trampoline.
I'd say keep the damn thing and only let my kids on it, but that's easier said than done.
