I wish my house was on Shady Lane. I’d be slipping into the woods every evening during deer season with my bow.

I lived in Abita but my best friend moved to Riverwood on the water when we were 12 or so. We had a blast in his little flat boat going all over there, shooting snakes having a blast. We’d ride up to madisonville to Badeauxs for a burger. We’d ride our bikes through Riverwood and cut across CCC golf course and ride up to Chuck E Cheese and K mart. I wouldn’t trade those years for anything.

I don't remember a Chucke Cheese either. The first pizza place I renember going to was called Pasqualli's. It was by the mall that burned down. We are talking early 70's though. I grew up in the Claiborne Hill area. We walked to school each day when the weather was nice. We would cross the river over the railroad trestle. Once "in town" we were instructed by our parents to say hello to "Mr. Bill," the barber on Boston Street. He would be having a cup of coffee, say hello, and go back inside. I didn't know until years later, but he would call my parents to let them know that we had just passed his shop.
Small town Covington...good memories.

It was in the corner where Coffee Rani is. The door was where coffee rani’s is and the inside may have wrapped around the corner to where the library is now. This was 85-87 when we went there, my friends mom was assistan manager. It may have started as showbiz and then changed I can’t remember

I used to fly my u control airplane on Saturday mornings with my grandfather in the field behind the hobby shop, where the movie theater parking lot is now.
