I like the place. You zip in, grab what you need, and get out fast. The prices are decent for the quality, and their business model is smart. But every trip is ruined by the crowd. Annoying Swiftie types, reeking Phish fans who clearly skip showers, and other oddities who don’t belong in a grocery store or on planet earth. It’s a mess.

What to do? Avoid peak hours when these types swarm I guess

You have to take the good (MILFs) with the bad (hippies).

Posters here are more concerned with the people around them than any group of people I’ve ever encountered. Which is quite bizarre considering they call any other man who notices what other people wear “gay.”

It is really not so much being around these folks as figuring out how we like the same place. It is a really odd crossover for me.

Now you've got me curious as I've never set foot inside a Trader Joe's.

My wife gets things from there from time to time but the visits are few and far between, and usually with her 34 yr. old daughter tagging along.

I'm a Costco/Rouses guy since both are close to home and have everything I need between the two.

The have good pre-made meals in the freezer. Reasonable too.

Frozen hash browns like McDonalds are popular.

They have some good snacks, but it’s a strange crowd and usually extremely crowded

It’s not worth it on the whole

That's probably where my stepdaughter gets all her frozen microwaveable meals she brings to work for lunch....

They even had the audacity to call me gay for wanting to visit a male-segegated Turkish bath house.

I try not to shop at Walmart but I disagree with this. Traders Joes is trash.

The hippies have been into healthier, more natural foods for 60 years. It's taken that long for many other folks to catch on.
