This happened to me a couple years ago. Except he wasn't turning left, he just swerved over left as I was passing and clipped my back right quarter panel. The brotha knew he fricked up and admitted it to the cops before his boss got there. Then the boss shows up and goes all raving lunatic declaring me to be the one at fault. So up one upped his raving lunacy and scared the shite out of him. They got the ticket and I went on to work. Good times.

Yes, it is perfectly legal as long as it has a reflective orange triangle visible on the rear.

As I'm turning left, a car blazes by at highway speed on the left shoulder. I slam the brake and the clutch. Jerk forward like no ones business. The guy almost died, then flipped me off.
Cliffs: if you're in a car, don't be an idiot when passing a tractor. Don't pass on the shoulder. I'll get on the shoulder for you to pass.

A guy threw a full Burger King cup at me and blew the horn while he was passing me after I moved over to let him by. I was pulling a hay rake that would end up falling apart a few weeks later. In hindsight I wish I would have let him crash into it.

Tractors at least go a decent speed. I have been behind Amish in pennsylvania and Kansas in horse buggies in no passing zones that went on for what felt like ever. Glad we don't have those here.
I remember as a young kid piling on my great-grandpa's tractor outside Tulsa and going to the store to get milkshakes. Like four kids piled on a tractor with a 13 year old driving.

I was in Luling yesterday right downwind from a Cane burn. I guess you just get used to the smell. Actually Kenner's original name was Cannes-Brules, or burning cane. So it shows the long history of that practice in the area. It's civilization that crept up on it.

Highways were BUILT for farmers. In Texas they are still called farm to market roads.
