Kinda sucks. The toys are always overpriced compared to pretty much every other distributor but my kids still enjoy the experience of going there.

About 25% more than Walmart. If we go I end up buying something.

I’ve taken my kids there to do that.

This might actually be great news. It'll open the door for smaller privately owned stores, like Toys by Roy and Cullen's Playland.

Toys R Us has become thw showroom for Amazon's toys page.

Go to Toys R Us to find out what your kids like and then go home & order from Amazon.

Little kids don't have that kind of patience They want it NOW! I remember going there as a kid. It was awesome. The nostalgia has worn off pretty quickly tho with brick and mortar store shopping. The vast majority of things I buy I can get online for much cheaper and usually in a day or two for not much if any extra cost through amazon. I'm actually so bad about it now I go out of my way not to go to stores unless its something I literally need this minute. And even then I know I'm paying more than I should and will be harassed by store employees who usually don't know anything about what they're actually selling. And on top of that their inventory will be limited to whats physically in the store.

So, we're going bankrupt, no more Toys 'R Us, kid
There's a million toys at Toys 'R Us, yet we're on the skids!

I’ll gladly pay more to not have to go to a Walmart

This is a direct result of their frequent customer program method of tracking.

"What is your phone number?"
prints out paper with bar code, then scans the bar code on the paper and throws away the paper. Now you are entered into the system. WHY?

I assume Baby r us is going with it? I feel like Babies r us has more ability to compete with amazon etc. than toys r us would.

I order it from my phone while standing in the aisle, and tell mine it will be here in 2 days. I'll sometimes throw in an extra toy and tell them they get more for the same price if they're patient.

It’s only a matter of time before there are just warehouses and delivery companies. Our children will be veritable shut-ins.

Just pull up the toy you want to buy on your phone and if its cheaper online, show the cashier. Toysrus would almost always price match when I did this. Best Buy also will do this with Amazon and big name retailers...they just won't match obscure websites nobody has ever heard of.
