Had a Silverado 1500 ('95) from '99 - '21. No major issues the whole time. GM was different back then though. Got me a 4runner after getting rid of the truck this year. You have to know what you really want though and what you value.

Bodyman here. They are shite held together with glue and rivets. Luckily for you, though, they are no more expensive to repair than steel in SWLA. Bolton Ford didn’t go up on their prices for aluminum repair in 2014. Being that they are the only “Ford” body shop, no other shops could go up on their rates. Thanks David!
