Weird. Your wife loves my rough ride.

know Louisiana roads are shite but everyone on this board always talks about how a truck “rides”. The thought never really crossed my mind to care much about that but I live in FL.

New trucks, except Tundra, drive like cars. It’s a selling point for old people or people with back problems.

I wouldn’t trust a F-150 (2017 owner here listening to cheap plastic interior)

Own a 2016 Silverado and have zero complaints. Great truck.

Silverado HD won over the Ford Super Duty and Ram HD.

I've owned all three makes in the 3/4 ton variety. Bought a Chevy 2500 HD back in 2007, and will be hard pressed to ever switch. My Dad also made the switch in 2007. GM makes a better product. I've even found my truck nuts last longer while hanging from my Chevy. It's probably just the sense of pride they feel when hanging from a real truck.

Truth is, is doesn’t matter which truck “brand” you buy, just take care of the damn thing.

I’ve never had a problem with my Fords or Chevys, but I also don’t run them into the ground.

I always thought people jizzed over the cummins (pun intended) more than any other truck engine in the HD class?

That's true, but some people have jobs that force them to run the truck into the ground. My dad is one of those people, and he got rid of his F-250 SuperDuty in favor of a Tundra back in 2011. The F-250 had a ton of issues over a four year period and couldn't handle the mileage my dad puts on trucks, the 2011 Tundra is still working hard every day.

But yes, when a truck isn't run into the ground and taking on a ton of mileage, I think the distinction in reliability between brands gets a lot smaller.

I drive a Ford F250 with Powerstroke. If Ford had been 1 or 2 in dependability I would have called bullshite immediately.

99K is all I kept it for. Traded it in on a 4 series that was fun, but not the right vehicle for my needs.

The problem was the transmissions behind them.

I love a Tundra just because it’s one of the only honest old school trucks left. Great engine choices (albeit thirsty) with bullet proof reliability, huge backseat (crew max) & the only truck with reclining rear glass window. That’s still the best feature that no other car company has.

Can’t go wrong with a Tundra.

I have a 2014 5.0L F150. Extremely reliable engine and I honestly love it.

It’s slow as molasses though!
