Anyone have one of these? Thoughts? I considering replacing my older Ram for something more economical and giving it to my son in 2 years when he gets his license. My Ram is in great shape but I have a decent offer on the table for it.

I’ve never liked the Tacoma’s but I saw the new models last night and really liked it.

It's a great truck.
Just please don't come back to the OT and start a thread on how expensive they are when you start shopping.

And yes you will mostly find dealers who are charging MSRP plus a sizable mark-up.

Had a 2017. Good truck. Too small. MPG 17-23 range.

110k miles on our 2014 Tacoma. Probably will run to 300 and last for 20 years. They're indestructible trucks. Probably will always have one of some kind.

I have a 2015 Tacoma TRD Sport. I love it. I have just over 109,000 miles on it and I haven’t had any issues other than replacing a battery and the usual maintenance like oil changes and replacing the air filter.

I get about 18 to 19 mpg, mostly highway.

Issue I seem to be having is trying to find the color. Looking for a magnetic gray, double cab, 4x4. I see some listed on line but no one actually has one.

Sure

It’s the only vehicle I’ve ever owned and will ever own. I don’t need a tundra to pull shite. My Tacoma does everything I need.

If I have a 3rd kid, my wife will be upgrading her vehicle, not me

I have a 2017 Tacoma with about 125,000 on it. My driving has drastically been cut in half and I only average 5 hours a week on the road now.

I get 23.5 - 24 mpg on highway

New ones are nice looking. Only thing I don’t care about are the taillights. Look funny to me

No idea how it translates to a Tacoma. But my 2006 Tundra has 230k on it and still drives great. Ill probably look into getting a Tacoma next as I dont need the power/size of the Tundra any longer.

Always had great experiences with Toyotas.

I guess this is an attempt at a burn. Weak.

At any rate it was a legit question. I have never owned a Toyota and with the exception of an old school S10 30 years ago have not had any small vehicles. Only considering now due to my son and the supposed durability and safety of Toyota.
Considered the Chevy Colorado but they cost the same and don’t seem to have the reputation or resale value.

Car and Driver actually likes the Chevy Colorado better than the Tacoma, and they rarel favor American brands!

Bought a 2019 yesterday with 20,000 miles for 31,000. Been looking for one for 3 months and could not pass it up.
