Go Fund Me site trying to raise $15k to get her back home to a New Mexico Hospital on a medical flight

Meanwhile, elsewhere in the city, police said 25-year-old Charles Williams was on a violent crime spree, shooting at least five people at three different locations, attempting to carjack one vehicle and then actually carjacking another.

The carjacking attempt that failed resulted in 38-year-old Ricky Goins being shot and eventually killed. Goins kept driving and eventually lost control of the vehicle as he struggled with his wounds. His vehicle smashed into the one with Brennan, Newport and Gonzales in the 2400 block of Elysian Fields.

Brennan’s injuries were minor but Newport and Gonzales weren’t as fortunate. Gonzales broke several ribs and fractured his spine. Newport had multiple fractures, broke her hip, her pelvis and her femur.

More than two and a half weeks later both are on the road to recovery, but Brennan is trying to get his wife home to New Mexico, but doctors aren’t sure she could tolerate a commercial flight. A special medical flight would cost $18,000. A long distance ambulance ride is less, but still a big cost.

This kind of shite should open some eyes nationally. Hopefully it'll put pressure on the shitheads in charge of that city.

I feel more threatened by Cuban tree frogs than getting robbed uptown.

Small price to pay for the right to visit a city full of funky white hipsters with douchebeards and ironic fedoras who never eat at a shitty chain restaurants. You can’t get that just anywhere.

Well the dude in here last week said he took his daughter to the Riverwalk and they survived. So it's 50/50.

Why is the story here the tourists who essentially got in a car accident while on vacation?

Shouldn't the guy in the other car that was shot to death be the main story?

That’s what I don’t understand.

According to the story they weren’t robbed or shot. They got reareneded. Now just because she doesn’t have insurance they want other people to pay for her ride home?

Well, duh. I only base my preference of residence on food, not shitty politicians, roads, economics, demographics, or taxes. All that stuff is just minutia because there's a buds broiler there.

Her own car insurance should cover medical cost, assuming she was in a rental.
