Her own car insurance should cover medical cost, assuming she was in a rental.

So then what’s the issue here?

ell, duh. I only base my preference of residence on food, not shitty politicians, roads, economics, demographics, or taxes. All that stuff is just minutia because there's a buds broiler there.

Say what you want, but a #6 with chili cheese fries and a Barqs is worth the occasional car jacking risk and you know it.

This kind of shite should open some eyes nationally. Hopefully it'll put pressure on the shitheads in charge of that city.

New Orleans has the same problem Jackson, has in this regard. Shitheads in charge of the city.

Shouldn't the guy in the other car that was shot to death be the main story?

He's already dead. I don't think a flight is going to do him much good.

but Brennan is trying to get his wife home to New Mexico, but doctors aren’t sure she could tolerate a commercial flight. A special medical flight would cost $18,000. A long distance ambulance ride is less, but still a big cost.

She came out with her life, what's wrong with waiting until she's healthy?

It's just funny that the typical Nola hate is coming not from a murder, but an accident that could happen at anytime.

It's not like there would be no car accidents involving tourists if only the locals would stop killing each other.

Weird story and weird thread all around.

Well the guy who hit them with his car was dying because he was shot during a attempted car jacking so that does have some significance.

The story is the fact that a tourist was injured in a car accident and she can’t afford to take a private medical flight home.

If it were a local involved in the accident we would have never heard about this

Obviously. The local who died was only mentioned to really bring home the misfortune of these tourists.
