Conspicuous consumption.

What about the total pricks in Tennessee that stopped visiting her business because of a Joe Biden sign?

I’d love to see the lease. There is usually some signage language requirements..they usually have language regarding the physical building and tenant rights if building is out of compliance, which could be argued.

If I were her, I would be definitely exploring possible alternate locations if it appears that lease can be voided.

Given the news stories on this one, it should be easy to make it known where they moved to rather than just picking up and moving in the middle of the night.

Because they were raised poorly with no manners and no sense of self.

It's the same as people who are into horoscopes. It's way easier to point at something outside of yourself and say "That's what I think!" or" That's what I am!" than to put in the work on yourself and flesh out what you actually truly believe.

She isn’t losing any business at this point since it went viral. She gained business now. She got some hate when it first went up because no one knew.

Turn that store into a Trump store like you see in the north GA mountain towns. Big ole signs in the windows.

The trump store in this area is in a former porn store, lol.

I cannot imagine a lawyer not being able to figure out a way to bust the landlord (assuming she does not lease the entire building).

Or, she could put a sign on the part she leases that says "My a-hole Landlord is Intentionally Trying to Destroy My Business."

Could he sue for libel if she did? No. You could readily argue that he knew this would hurt her business.

Pass out bumper stickers with "Name of Landlord" is an a-hole".

but this is merica.

Sure, but that doesn't give you the right to impact your tenant's business. If there was a loss of revenue I am wondering if they have grounds for a legal claim against the landlord.

If I was a business owner I wouldn't want any political statements in front of my store. As Jordan said, republicans buy shoes too.

Or blast political opinions on social media. As a small business owner, it amazes me when people blast stuff that will knowingly alienate a portion of your customer base. COVID was a prime example of this.

is there really any way to prove that it cost her 50% of her business?

Month 1-4 = $X
Month 5-8 = $X/50

Yes. Seeing as how businesses typically keep track of revenue….it should be easy to see the difference in sales from date A to date B

It’s gay if you look at someone like that and say they’re not good looking.

My experiences with landlords are that most of them are douches. Especially after natural disasters (they have no regard for your stuff, finances, or well being and only care about how much insurance money they can get). Thank God I own my house now.
