I mean there are effectively 2 different storms. The people in BR talking about government response aren't ignoring the people in NETX/NWLA or anything. It's literally 2 different conversations.

Boat it looks like the 10-day forecast dramatically changed for LC after last night.

You think we miss those nights of freezing around Christmas?

There’s a group of people here who think any forecast is a bust if it doesn’t destroy their neighborhood or their kid’s school, at whatever exact time they thought they heard.

You do realize that this happened like 250 miles away from Baton Rouge right?
It's still stupid that they cancelled school in BR.

Did you realize the storm is actually moving?
I’m not saying the Baton Rouge area will be destroyed, but the shite didn’t get here YET.

i know im not boat but itll likely change drastically again before tomorrow. anything beyond 5 days is barely more than giving a prediction based on climatology.

Didn’t they also expect the line to stall out closer to Baton Rouge? Looks like it happened earlier than planned. Hopefully that means it’ll push out faster when it does move through.

Might make the storms worse since BR can warm up a little more

No shite, hence why they should be at school, and then when it gets close, and you have accurate info to go on, you can let them out at 11-12 IF you need to.

This is very true. From around 1-5 it’s gonna come crashing down on BR area… would not be surprised at all for a few tornados in the area….

Cold air is definitely on the way around Christmas. The “coldness” of it will fluctuate for the next week plus until we’re within a realistic timeframe to forecast it.

Wasn’t there already a tornado warning like 40 miles west of Baton Rouge this morning?
