It’s like they get mad that a tornado didn’t hit their house, even though this system has already killed people. Be happy nothing happened.

Edit: To be clear I am not talking about the forecasters. I am talking about people that seemingly get angry that they were warned something is POSSIBLE.

I’ll take the day off, but it is ridiculous how quick the school system and state government is to cancel stuff.

I understand that, but I suppose it gives people time to plan, especially if the line appears to be coming through during drop off. I know it sucks, but don’t be angry. I think it should be more like hey, we understand if you come late or keep your kid home, but for those with no options and you want to risk it come on in.

Since everyone always says schools get out because “they will get sued”, what if your child gets seriously injured at home and the school building is fine? Can we then sue due to them cancelling and killing the kid?

didn’t know there was a Morgan city MS but it looks like it’s getting wrecked.

It isn’t much of a town. One convenience store with a restaurant with segregated dining areas and has been busted numerous times for illegal slot machines. And they have a post office. Might be 200 people living there

Any news on that large tornado headed to the yazoo city area? Looked to go south of Louise. Quite a few fish farmers in that area I know

Are the false alarms in south Louisiana because the radar coverage sucks?

Seems like the area west of Baton Rouge gets a lot of false alarms. Do they just warn everything that looks like a possible rotation from 9,000 feet or whatever their Doppler way out in Slidell see?

I made a lot of very expensive decisions at work yesterday based on Armageddon getting here at 1am. Told everybody it would be late starting, everybody argued, I said ok whatever we'll assume it'll be raining fire and sharknados tonight.

Now it looks like we could have operated just fine till about noon and for some reason nobody wants to talk to me this morning.

I can’t believe we cancelled school for nothing. Baton Rouge just has cloud coverage. How can they consistently get this shite so wrong for our area?

Seems that way where I am. Everything they see on radar that may indicate rotatation is an immediate freak out get in your bunker. The last time these came thru they showed the path of one of the “confirmed tornadoes”. It went right over my buddies shop. There wasn’t a limb down or a trash can flipped over.

BTW I’m not suggesting these storms aren’t dangerous just that it’s approaching boy who cried wolf status. It’s probably better this way but I know tons of people who ignore this shite now.

Pretty bold statement considering it hasn’t even reached BR yet
