Nasty cell headed towards eastern Memphis suburbs. Another nasty cell headed towards Philadelphia, MS that looks like a possible tornado. Greenwood has one to their north and south.

Busy day for weather people.

Southeast Louisiana won't be getting in on the action until overnight. By then, it'll be more linear, but the HRRR model is bullish throwing more discrete cells ahead of it.

Latest I heard BR will be getting bad weather bt 11pm-3am. It's too scary when you're trying to sleep but the wind and lightning keep you up. For me at least.

Those are very healthy cells.

The focus will slide south as the night goes on imho, as those cells cool off the areas to the north. Gonna be a long night in the lower miss vally.

The front is sliding into SE Texas now and storms are lining out a long it this afternoon. STP is currently above 2 for all of S. Louisiana and pushing 4 in some areas. Any discrete cells could be an issue but hopefully the front overtakes them.

I have a met friend who periodically emails us with his thoughts and yesterday he emailed us about today's threat cause everyone was focused on yesterday. He said today looks different than events we normally see, something that hasn't happened in a long time, especially in respect to se louisiana and pre-dawn tornadoes.
