Pretty sure I drove under a tornado East of El Paso this afternoon. Thought the hail was going to bust out my windshield.
Parked in Las Cruces N.M. right now and got straight line winds probably gusting up to 60 mph or more.Rocking the frick out of my truck.

Cell just over Cotton Valley will most likely be warned soon, its showing a strong tornadic signature.

I don't even know what to make of the warned areas in AR right now, holy shite.

Yeah the Significant Tornado Parameter values are supposed to be pretty high with everything coming together in south/south central AL. Not good from the looks of it. There has been a lot of ground truth coming from these storms since last night in MS and into AL...that set up was not as potent as it is tonight as well so I expect a long night in many areas in the PDS watch. Those PDS watches normally mean business unfortunately.

That small cell just east of Jonesville is about the clearest radar tornado you'll ever see.

Meanwhile, the warned supercell in southern AR is a mess with rotation in about 10 different spots. They're doing the right thing by warning the whole area, it's too hard to tell what is/might be producing a tornado out of all of that.

That shite town is a tornado magnet.

This warning if it happens would be it's fourth tornado warning of the day.

It was destroyed on New Year's Eve 1948 with multiple fatalities.

Well that just fricking sucked.

Never seen hail that bad with all lightening and thunder.
Kids were scared.
I was scared.

That helpless feeling you get sucks so bad when you know things are out of your hands.

Thank you lord for watching over my family.

Yep. Last PDS watch for Mobile was for the Christmas Day tornado that rolled through Midtown and Downtown Mobile. That was a wild Christmas living in Midtown

Looks like they'll need to increase the watch area more northward in Arkansas, there's some strong developments that will most certainly track out of the current watch area.

There's also a large circular hail core approaching Hot Springs, AR that is currently un-warned and rotating, that would not be good.

I don't know how these two aren't receiving any attention, they're both tightening hail cores with rotation:

I had that feeling when it came through West Mobile. Literally right at the time the NWS estimated the rotation to come over us it sounded like huge chunks of concrete were hitting the roof. Was really intense for a few minutes

Yeah on Christmas Day 2015 we had a wild one in the Birmingham area as well with a tornado that touched down on the west side of the city and went right past where I had sheltered down. Wasn't a PDS event but I get how bad it stinks to have Christmas interrupted by seeking shelter from a tornado. It appears you all have already gotten in on the "fun" this evening in your area. Best wishes to you in Mobile, stay safe!

The tornado warning stated there was hail of up to 2" in diameter so it might have been that...good chance you were in the main hail core portion of the storm.
