Looking at some of the 18z soundings and the lower levels seem to be keeping things in check. Many of these storms are probably elevated and having issues getting rooted in the surface layer. If this holds, then things might be kept in check this afternoon.
Temps still in the low 60s here in North AL. The heavier rain seems to have beat the front here. Moderate winds out of the south. Hopefully, the lid stays on.

I think it will ride a little north...right where I have a bunch of family...Moore's Bridge, Echola, Brownville...a lot run through that area as well.
Spann saying there will be waves tonight.
First storm is going north but there is definite signs of formations and strengthening back in Mississippi.

Not sure about that, unless it jogs to the right at some point, looks to skirt the northern suburbs with its trajectory perhaps of this holds together. Just my gut from seeing these tracks before, on this particular cell.

This is exactly like it is setting up: Golden triangle/tombigbee river basin and Prairie areas and South Central MS are the 2 hot spots right now. Confirmed damage in macon, that's where this live stream screenshot was at.
