It might get that way in Alabama but where I’m at it won’t. It’s 65 degrees and looking at radar it’s almost gone except the squall line by Monroe
I’m just talking about my area in the Ms delta it seems to be pretty mild
Called it a nothing burger, then admits it is a real event, but only cares that it’s not hitting his area
Probably about time to dip out, we all have off days.

This is bad. Sounds like it ripped through the ghetto south of the university.

I’m in Monroe on 165 and I thought we were about to get crushed. Didn’t end up being much where I’m at. Seems like it was south of me, in Swartz, south of Louisville/Desiard?

Currently over Frenchman’s Bend subdivision.
The real estate development that took down Ouachita National Bank, and ultimately Louisiana National Bank. First conceived in the eighties, if not for the oil bust the typical brother in law deals and financial shennanigans that went along with it wouldn't have been noticed. It was finally developed many years later by someone else.

The SPC and NWS have never compared this event to 4/27/11.
Exactly, the main take home point for all of this is, and I'm sure you'd agree, that it doesn't measure up to 4/27/2011 as a whole BUT the tornadoes from 4/12/2020 can clearly wipe out a lot of stuff. Folks don't need to get off focus for the threat today poses.

Anyone recommend an article or video on the events of this day?
Sure, Historic Outbreak of April 27, 2011 is a page where you can begin reviewing the details of the event as recorded by NWS Birmingham.
