I really don’t know. I can’t point to some specific event in my life that flipped the ginger switch. I’m not a redhead, although my beard grows red.
I don’t even remember being obsessed with them in my adolescent years. Didn’t have any early girlfriends that were true gingers.
But sometime in my late teens early 20s I caught the gingervitis. And now i’ll Break my neck if a redhead walks by. I can’t help it. Ginger chicks automatically get 3 points added in my book. Give me the ugly chick all day. Besides, OR 3-4 means irl 6-7. That's not cute but it's not completely terrible. Also when we say chubby and overweight, how much are we talking.
