I’ve done about 115 in my C300. The car handles really well but I really have no desire to drive that fast.

However, I do find myself cruising at 85-90 on the Dallas North Tollway without realizing it. Such a straight road and, depending on the time of day, there may be minimal traffic. I drive that road so much that I am very comfortable on it and there are some long straightaways.

I have people pass at 100+ on a regular basis...had two pass me going probably 120 this afternoon on a Sunday.

Easily got my Tundra to about 114 before the governor kicked in. Not very aerodynamic so probably couldn’t do that much more anyway.

112 in a '74 Dodge Monaco w/ 360 2 barrel Carter.
Pretty stupid.

My FIL had a new yellow Corvette in the 60s with 427 and straight shift. He got it up to 156 i think.

One guy said he did 150 in an F150

You are correct. But I did figure out how to kill the governor in my F150 without a tune with the help of a Ford friend. I almost got killed out in Texas passing a couple of vehicles when it got up to 95 and shut down.

Fastest I have ever driven was in 1963 in a 1962 factory Cobra. I hit about 140 on the track, 155 out on what turned out later to be I-49 and 135 down a long road at midnight inside the city limits in a south Louisiana town.

All were witnessed. A couple of guys who rode with me were pretty shook up. Glory Days!!

Not insanely fast. I don’t really try to kill myself often.

Years ago, my dog got into some Stevia, which I didn’t know at the time but is extremely poisonous to dogs. He’s an 85 lb lab and even a small bit of it almost killed him.

I was living off Beau Pre and when I realized something was seriously wrong, I can tell you I was easily going 110mph down river road trying to get to the LSU Vet School.

Two days and $2000 later he was fine. Little bastard.

120 in my Dodge stealth R/T. I was not that scared because it was low to the ground and AWD. I also went 130 in a neon SRT4 and didn't like it one bit because I didn't drive.
