I don't have cable or satellite, we don't watch enough tv to justify it

I bought a $20 HD over the air antenna. If my directv goes out I just switchover to the locals on the antenna or I stream from my iPad to my apple tv

I signed on with them for a second time against my better judgment. They offered the cheap for the first year deal. Salesman says that all you have to do is up the package after the first year to the next tier, and they'll extend the discount another year and that will cover you for your two year agreement.
It was a bullshite lie. So I called support who said "well, we record all of the calls, call the support line back tomorrow and have them pull the call" Mysteriously they fricking lost that call (Yeah right). They said that unless I had it in writing they're not responsible for the promises made by their salespersons. I said if I had it in writing, you would have it in writing since you would have sent it to me. He said sorry. I said, reinstate my paper billing, take to the lowest package possible, and set my cancellation date of the day my package expires.
NEVER frickING AGAIN.

The SECN bargaining chip last July/August was the best ever. If you didn't get in on that pain train, you missed out.

ATT did the same for me every time I called to cancel service. The difference is I really did would've cancelled if the raised my bill. They just kept adding free premium channels for the same price every time I called to cancel.

Lol at all the people hating on this guy for saving a few hundred bucks for a 30 min phone call.
