but article seems ready to drop blame on the publicly named male soldier involved

I've been trying to explain that. Anyone eager to blame female pilot should adjust expectations. If CW2 was the evaluator conducting a flight evaluation of the Capt he is the supervisor and responsible to intervene for safety of flight even ending evaluation if necessary. Not that it really matters, since most likely there was a crew resource management breakdown and both pilots likely bare responsibility. Yet some here and elsewhere clearly have a bias to blame the female.

From a link on Poli Board it seems like you can see that it's one of 2 potential female pilots. One of them is so adorable, I really hope it's not her.

There was presumably a mistaken visual on wrong a/c plus an altitude deviation.

The Blackhawk certainly has good amount of potential visibility. Who knows what happened.

What impact would night vision goggles have on visibility for this event? Thanks...

The truth hurts.

You’re the one that has to politicize every event that happens.

That rotor isn’t cutting the plane in half. It would shatter before that happened.

The helo blades would tear right through a plane fuselage. The blades would break apart as well.

Do you think a vinyl record could be embedded in a telephone pole?

I think that’s the most plausible scenario

For the life of me, I can't wrap my head around why there would be this potential to even happen. Human error occurs. But to put that remote possibility in the path of a commercial airliner seems dumb as frick. Yeah, everyone knows what they're doing and has done it hundreds of times, blag blah blah. All it takes is one mistake.

The Department of Defense and the family have authorized the release of the identify of the 3rd Soldier on board the UH-60 that crashed in DC.

She has been identified as CPT. Rebecca Lobach of Durham, N.C. She attended UNC Chapel Hill and went through ROTC. Friends and family say she was a true patriot and loved her country.

Lobach also served as a White House social aide during the Biden administration, Brown said. Just last month, she escorted Ralph Lauren through the White House

Was also a social media aide for Joe Biden. Jesus christ.

Can we have pilots focus on being pilots? My god this is infuriating.

That's not on her; that's on the Army. I deploy on submarines but while I'm at home I'm expected to do a bunch of other shite on behalf of the Navy that doesn't matter to my job but matters if I want to get promoted.

There aren't enough training sorties available to just fly all the time. (Now people are knee jerk calling for less training)They develop people by challenging them in other roles while not flying. That said, I hated having to do stuff like organize the Air Force ball as a young Capt.

Could someone explain to me as if I'm retarded why me saying that she's adorable and I hoped it wasn't her makes me a terrible person? It's not registering.
