Married traditional conservative filipina that is a millennial but mind of gen x. Told me before we were married that she promised to be the best wife she could be for me and to make me happy. I asked her what her thoughts were on ladies nights out at bars or clubs. She said, what self respecting woman that is in a relationship is going to be out and about tramoing the streets at night without her man? I said, American women. Lol we discussed everything. Like how the man opens the door for her when dating but how that dies out after being married. How the headaches start happening after marriage. Wife told me, you don't ever have to worry about me having a headache.

There are horror stories though of American men marrying foreign women though. For one, when you are chatting or talking to them, they don't ask important relevant questions about them, their upbringing, thoughts on how a wife should act, what they expect from a husband, etc etc. Secondly, we get them in groups all the time after they have been married asking for advice because they are having probs with their wife. They talk about things they saw and that their wife did when dating. 9 times out of 10, nothing but red flags, yet they ignored them and didn't run for the hills. Now they are married, have a kid and their life is being made a living hell.

There are great traditional foreign women out there. But you have to ask the right questions when getting to know each other. You want someone that wants to cater to you and make it all about making you happy.

It's like this. American women for the most part make it all about them. It's me me me me. In Philippines, the woman caters and takes care of the man. Well, the boys there grow up seeing that and expecting that. Thus, most filipina women feel unappreciated. Well, they meet an American man that they treat like a king. The American man is used to it being all about the woman. All of a sudden he is being treated like a king. Oh wow. I appreciate you. So now you have the man being treated like a king and the Filipina woman being appreciated for once for how she treats her man. One compliments the other. Most Americans jump on the first one they meet like that, not realizing that most traditional Filipinas are like that.

You have to be aware of the scammers too. Every week, someone is dying or in hospital that needs help. If one starts to give sob story or asks for anything, move on down the road
