Topgolf out, Drive Shack steps in as suitor for former Times-Picayune location

I've never heard of Drive Shack. Is it basically a rip off of the Top Golf model?

There was zero percent chance top golf executives could’ve trained New Orleans employees up to their high customer service and cleanliness standards

Good friends with the guy who got this deal done basically. Top golf was gonna put a half arse smaller location in New Orleans just to keep drive shack out but my buddy jumped on the properties they were looking at and made some deals to keep top golf out. Apparently the drive shack concept is a nicer version of top golf but time will tell. As someone mentioned earlier, they have a boatload if money to work with right now. Either way, I’ll get to go for free so I’m happy. My friend stands to make a shitload of money on this deal so he’s pushing drive shack over top golf.
