No, it was a long line of offices with waiting areas in front of each. It was at schumpert in Shreveport off Fairfield. Not in the best area, but still not the worst. Mine was like the last office down so I walked past everyone. It looked like a methadone clinic.

No, it doesn’t. Your inability to understand the differences in a specialists and why one may see certain ones should exclude you from further comment

So you're saying its okay to be in a relationship with a husband that isn't around, be miserable, fight everyday in front of kids rather than have a stable amicable relationship for the kids?

Or what about if they weren't married? Maybe the dad couldn't afford a ring, because he is supporting his kids.

Also, I'm a single mother of 2 with tattoos and I can promise you something, you aren't paying ANY of my healthcare one bit.

You know what is wrong with the world? People like you.

Maybe instead of judging her you could offer her help of some kind. Tell her she's doing a great job. Tell her it will get better.

You have no idea how hard it is to be a working single mom. And some of us don't choose it. It's either leave or be in an abusive relationship.

Can confirm. My wife had to go see a pediatric cardiologist at Texas Children's in Houston and the waiting room was definitely an experience to say the least.

Took my dad to the back Dr some time ago. Noticed one of the patients getting around the waiting room pretty good. When they called his name he started moving slower and slower until when he got to where the nurse was waiting for him he could barely walk.

Congrats on living up to the stereotype presented by the OP.

Almost as hard as being a school teacher.

Encouraging and praising promiscuity, poor judgement, inability to think about the future and trashiness sounds like a great thing for the continued degeneration of society. Sounds like a good idea.

Are you honestly saying that being a single parent and working full time is easy? Surely you aren’t stupid.

Ha. I work 40 hours a week, in a career I love and spend every moment with my kids I can. I'm not complaining, I'm just saying its hard sometimes. Imagine having the flu and having to take care of 2 kids alone? Not fun.

Seriously? I was married for 11 years, so no, I wasn't promiscuous. Two, I thought about my future and I didn't want my children to be in a relationship where people are yelling at each other every damn day.

You have no f*cking clue what that mother has been through, so keep your stupid @ss judgments for someone else.

Similar experiences taking mine in GA. And there is no "good" vs "ghetto" pediatricians here, all basic pediatric care is free in Georgia, so it doesn't matter if you go to fancy ped or ghetto ped, you see the underbelly of our society.

Plenty of 40-50 yo grandmothers. As a matter of fact, now that I'm thinking about it, I can't recall any actual mothers in there with the kids in the few trips I've been, it seems like it is always a relatively young grandparent.

I honestly can't compare my job to your job. I don't know. But what I do know is that after working 9 hours a day, picking up kids from school, getting dinner ready, doing homework, playing with the little one, baths, and bedtime all alone is exhausting. Sometimes I don't sit down until 9:30-10pm.

But I wouldn't change it for the world. I love my kids to the moon and back and I chose this.
