That’s anywhere. Your point is? And I’d take the “hellholes” here over shite areas of most other cities, especially BR/NOLA. The little Hispanic pockets around the city are pretty harmless, just not as fancy as other areas.

My point is, stock up on guns, buy a high fence and get ready to have bodyguards and a bulletproof Suburban to go to the grocery store. What a life, like the elite (of which you are not) lead in Mexico.

Those "harmless little pockets" of Hispanics have ruined your local schools.

That would be by choice, no?

Seriously? No. As a blanket statement you’re trying to make, no it’s not always by choice. Family could’ve moved on their own or could even be dead. That’s not by the single parent’s choice.

A father working off shore is by choice. A mother working late and weekend shifts is by choice. There are other jobs to be had

You know one now. My mom would help when she could but she is too far away and too busy taking care of my dad who has cancer.

I'm doing this on my own. But I'm not complaining.

I thought your ex was active in their lives? I’m sorry if something changed. That would be a rough adjustment.

You have no idea how hard it is to be a working single mom. And some of us don't choose it. It's either leave or be in an abusive relationship.

Have you ever considered maybe being more selective of the type of men you let into your life?

She said she was married to him for like 11 years.

Ok, so she should have been more selective 11 years ago. How many people you think told her that he was no good?

He absolutely is. But that doesn't change the fact I still can't just randomly drop off kids at his house whenever I want to or whenever I'm sick. There's this policy called a custody agreement.

Is the father in their lives? Yes. I'm still working full time and taking kids during the week.

That’s understandable. Albeit shitty that he wouldn’t step up if you were randomly sick during the week.

Are you POSITIVE you aren't mixing this up with your last trip to Walmart??

Question for you. Does your office ever allow you to volunteer a couple of hours during the work week?

If they do, I would highly suggest going to your local women's shelter and volunteering.

You will see things and hear things you never thought a man could do to a woman. And she stays.

I'm sure those women didn't ask to be with an alcoholic husband (maybe he didn't drink before they met, maybe he changed after)who abuses them.

They finally got the courage to leave and now you're telling me its their fault, because they didn't choose the right man.

My wife lost a friend because she (my wife) kept trying to get her out of an abusive relationship. The guy is a POS and she’s stuck/won’t leave.

Yep. I have a friend like that as well. I told her I will always be here for her, but I can't be around him.

She's went to the hospital multiple times. Cops called multiple times. And she won't leave.

That being said, luckily there aren't children around.

I remember all the hot girls used to want to date the bad boys, the drug dealers, etc. The hot girls never wanted anything to do with the good boys. Just friends.

Fast forward ten years, the hot girl's life is shite, and want the good boys to feel sorry for them.

If you said yes when I asked you to Prom, maybe your life wouldn't be shite right now.

My middle son goes to a pediatric cardiologist. It’s about the same there, but there are always a few mom/dad’s or just dad’s there. I’ve always attributed the trashy factor to being in Birmingham lol. Unfortunately, single motherhood is becoming the norm for a myriad of different reason.
