This has always been astonishing to me.. Why would drug dealers want to record themselves doing illegal activities??

Security cameras do nothing to stop robberies. They just give you something to post on Nextdoor and bitch a little
Actually I put the system in so I could monitor my dog in the back yard when she was a pup. She had a habit of digging holes and I needed to catch her in the act. The two front cameras were added later and they do come in handy. I can see who pulls up my driveway before they get here.

LOL my wife caught me peeing in the back yard once.

Thought about that. Kids want a dog. I want a dog. Thing is if dog bites someone? You’re liable regardless of anything short of him dying and get give his side of the story. I have IP cameras. Simply to catch thieves at my vehicles. The house has alarm system that contacts LEO.

I thought we did too. Then a friend set it off the other day when I wasn't home so I called the company to get it turned off and be sure cops weren't coming. They said, "Oh, it turns off on its own and cops aren't called".

Uhhh what? They used to call us when it went off but I guess that's done too?

I honestly thought when he said it that maybe they did away with it alerting authorities since too many people have then now.

I have a 16 camera system but only 10 hooked up. I’ve had my system for about 5 years now but on two occasions I would have one to two cameras go out. I have replaced the power chord with transformer built in and both times after replacing chord the camera came back. Not sure if that’s what you are experiencing but thought I’d share.

No, mine doesnt alert LEO. what it does if you have 45 seconds to turn it off. During the time alarm is hit, youre getting a phone call. Theres a password you have to give them. NO pass? LEO will be called to the home.

Interesting that you post this... My dad caught someone breaking into his Tahoe a couple hours ago in the city baton rouge. He yelled something to the guy, but when he turned around with a pistol on him, dad hauled arse and locked himself back inside!

I had that happen about 40 years ago. I caught a guy breaking into my truck and pulled him out with the intention of beating the crap out of him but he stuck a gun in my face and I too hauled arse.

They did catch the guy a couple of nights later at another house and I identified him in a lineup.

Of course. How much ammo OP has at his exact address is very important. Specifically 5.56 and .300BLK

Only thing I have that shoots that is that piece of shite the AF forces me to qualify on.

Sounds like I need an excuse to buy something that needs it.

Edit: something not named beretta

I had that happen once and I just racked my shotgun from the door. No idea if he had a gun but he knew mine was ready and aimed at him. He ran.
