Flooding along the Sabine in west Vernon, west Beauregard and west calcasieau is about to get a lot worse, same with East Texas along the Sabine including orange. Toledo bend just opened 11 of the flood gates, warning everyone to get out now.

If you are in the Toledo bend flood plane, get out and get out now. Beauregard sheriff said SRA plans to open all gates. Prolly atleast another foot of water on top of what is already there.

Welcome to the dam tour, I'm your dam guide. Are there any dam questions?

Not that it won't be bad but right now it's projected 4 feet lower than last springs record flood. I live in the area and just talked to Calcasieu parish sheriffs department.
ETA: if you flooded last year get the frick out.

I talked to a girl that got flooded last year today. She is evacuating as a precaution and said if she would have rebuilt in the same spot she would have flooded again.

My in laws live in Deweyville Texas in a house 4 feet off the ground that got 3 feet of water in it. They are shitting bricks. I hope the crest estimates are accurate

SRA dropped the ball with the flood last year. Hopefully they have learned.

Why do they do this? Why arent the tops of dams designed to stand up to water overtopping?
