Continued anti-Japanese sentiment among the general population of other Asian countries is undoubtedly most common among countries victimized by Imperial Japan during World War II. This is perhaps understandable to some degree these days, we're primarily talking about people's parents or grandparents as direct victims.
That said, among cultures with a long history of involvement with the Japanese, particularly China and Korea both of which were also among the most severely victimized during World War II, you'll no doubt find a longer history of anti-Japanese sentiment resultant from a long history of conflict with Japan, where more hatred towards the Japanese is present.
Moreover, it is the Japanese Government's refusal to acknowledge said crimes that enrages the Koreas and Chinas. Imagine if Merkel claimed the Holocaust only had a few dozen victims and regularly visited the grave of Heinrich Himmler to pay respects.
