Need two new shitters due to a remodel.

They all look pretty much the same. Not wanting any new techy ones--just basic time tested units. Looking at Kohler and Delta just because I recognize the names as decent.

Choice of flushes. Number one or number 2. Brilliant.

There’s one that advertises you can flush a bag of golf balls down. We have it at work. It takes care of all the shite.

Do you know the height you want? Figure that out. Most toilets on the shelf in big bos stores are 16.5 inches. Very little variation, I know because we bought one for our kids bathroom remodel and it was hard to find one smaller for them to ‘test’ out.

I’m not a fan of really tall toilets. We have a lot of fat people in the USA that have a hard time getting up off of short toilets so toilets are made taller. But shorter toilets are more comfortable and make shitting easier to be frank.

Went through this recently myself...

All the big box stores sell the more eco-friendly 1.28gpf models in stores. If you want a higher flow 1.6 or above, it’s a special order.

I went with a Toto Drake II (1.6) and purchased from Wayfair. No issues with shipping and it does what it needs to do.

I believe Coburns and the plumbing warehouse on Siegen keep the higher flush toilets in stock if you’re concerned about shipping.

Do you own one? is it really that great? Seems like a whole different operating system on the inside which could be potential problems.

I was leaning toward the "tall" toilets but I could see where a more squatting position is a more natural shite evacuation pose.

Good info. Thanks. I did notice all the ones for sale at HD were like 1.28 or even less. I assume the same at Lowes.

Side mount flushers. I have clients that literally couldn’t live with the toilet seat lid resting on the the front mounted flusher when it was in the up position

Standard Cadet 3...
I know I have a Standard Cadet just not sure of the number..
What sold me was a video demonstration of it flushing a bunch of golf balls. No problems with the toilet but the wax ring has failed twice. I figured it out that where the ring is located it is lower than the floor. So make sure you get a double height wax ring if that is your case.

I'll admit I googled this. Although I did with a certain degree of skepticism.

Do not buy an off brand. Standard, Kohler or some other name brand.

I have been thinking of buying a "squatty potty" simply to have a more natural position.

Most of the world squats over squat toilets for a reason.
